Default Tires.

I'm picking up a set of gs-r rims from a buddy. I was going to use them for the track. What size tire can i get on those rims? I was thinking of going with a drag radial. How wide can i go? Any info would be great.
I came here because this is where i spend most of my time and i figured that sombody must be runing stock rims at the track..

most people run the 205/50/15 bfg drag radial on these rims. Some people w/ a lil more power go for the 225/50/15. Don't know of anyone going wider then that, but even on the 225(8.8") running that on a 6.5" rim u won't see that much more contact patch then u would running a 205(8") tire on 6.5" rim. Depending on ur power id just run the 205/50 since its a 23" tire where as the 225/50 is almost a 24" tire. keep the gears closer.

Cool thanks for the info. I'll probably stick to the 205's because i'm not making that much power (sig).
What about azenis vs bfg's vs nitto 555 any thoughts on that?
