Notice the wires coming off all four corners of the valve cover and one off of the dist. 3 going to the battery.
Any idea?

 

I would guess he likes engine ground. Serves no purpose. He must of had extra wire and didnt know what to do with it..

 

I suppose they are grounds, the wires going to the battery are going to the negative terminal

 

It's stupid. They are just extra ground cables for the engine. Not necessary. You will create ground loops with this which could induce unwanted ground currents.....

 

If you guys think grounding the engine is not needed then cut the ground wire on your R and see what happens.........

 

You need 1 thick ground cable for the engine and 1 thick ground cable for the transmission. No more no less....

 

Who said ground isnt needed?? That's just overkill to put that many ground straps.

No slick, we all think that 10 ground wires are a bit overkill..
