Default 98 EX "check maintenance" idiot light reset?

Could anyone please tell me how to reset the check enging idiot light? Of course, it came on a couple of weeks after being in the shop for routine maintenance! Thanks in advance!

And if that doesn't work, change your tires.

there is a slot that your key fits in right next to the "light" put you key in it and push it down.

Well, which light are we talking about?

Title of the thread says maintenance light. That's just a mileage reminder & you reset it by turning off the car, holding in the odometer reset button while you turn it back on.

The check-ENGINE light means the ECM actually thinks something is wrong. Go to AutoZone & have them plug in a code-reader. Get them to tell you the code number, not just the guy's description of what's wrong. You reset that by pulling the #13 fuse in the right-side doorjamb fusebox. But if you don't fix the problem, it'll come back on again.

The backup fuse in the engine compartment is for older Accords?? Reset the mileage counter with a key in some slot???? I actually own a '98 EX.
