Check Engine Light
when im driving and and step on it and take the car to the redline, the check engine comes on, but when shut the car off and turn it back on, the check engine light is off..
what is going on??
is it just the O2 sensor acting up????

well its happened twice.. when i hammer the gas and take it to redline, it comes on, then when i shut the car off and turn the car back on, its not there anymore..
so how can i take the code when i shut the car off..
don't i jump the connection when the car is off and turn the key 1 step??

there should be a green plug next to your passenger side kickpanel, above the ecu...and by taking paperclip, jump both ends of it

Its a Rubber green housing holding a blue connector on my obd1 GSR. But yeah, connect the two things with a paperclip

Also, you don't have to wait till the light comes on again. You can just do it, it should be saved.

My car sometimes will delete them as the car goes off and sometimes will save them. It depends on the code i think.

If it's the O2 sensor, then it will save. I just went through all that mess not too long ago.
