b20 vtec what combinations
i have a first gen b16 looking into purchasing a b20a b or z block which one is better for me i plan on going turbo. in my 91 si hatch which currently has a b16 swap in it.
also what rod application should i go with? what bore? should i mill the head? if so how much? what comp pistions?i dont know i have some idea but this is why i am asking cause i know they say just putting the head and necc oil fittings and crap doesnt make any power they say the stock rods are too long. you need to go with right bore and stroke im pretty sure the block will have to be sleeved. what headgasket and timing belt? and will i have any problems with cooling just trying to see what i need before i start going crazy. also for the head if im correct a three angle valve job would be bette for turbo. a set of cams and then a good valvetrain. anything else that u could think of would help me out plan on running about 9-12 lbs daily maybe like 20 on the track.

neithre are better
bore the b16 and get new low compression pistons, nice rods and spend alot of money on the dyno.
i would NEVER trust a b20vtec on boost unless i poured 2000$ into the engine making it strong. starting with new sleeves.
just save the 900$ you were gonna spend on a block and but it in the b16.

A b20vtec is not very reliable. Put that money into the b16 that you were going to spend on the b20.

i want to know why the people say they arnt reliable i think cause people are putting the wrong combos together ive seen some great numbers come out of this both na and turbo just have to be done right ive had friends that stroked 1.6's to 1.9's and it made power but also came with a little overheating im probably sleeving the block no matter what. i just want the low end torque from that crvtec
