Screeching noise from front right wheel well

Screeching noise from front right wheel well
I think its my brake pads but tell me if I'm wrong. Its coming from my pass front right wheel well and it only makes noise when I'm acclerating (not when I'm braking) And its a high pitched screeching/squealing noise. It usually happens for a few seconds, goes away for a little bit, then starts up again. I did a search and I think its my brake pads (since it is about time to change those). Any ideas?

If it was the brake pads, it would screech when u apply the brakes.
Did you take a look at your axles, CV boot ripped?

I'm having one of my friends come over right now to take a look at it with me. Man why does crap like this always come at a bad time?

sounds like the brake pads, it's like a warning to change them asap, before you tear up your rotors.tell us what happened.

if they are your original pads on that 99ex, they have a squeel to remind you to change them... most likely what that is...

if someone happened to bend the dust shield, it may be contacting the rotor... That happened to me once...

my bf said it might be the rotor shield. I think it maybe that since it started all of a sudden and I remembered I just got my brake pads replaced last summer. Also my friend checked those out and said they were not worn down either. So hopefully its just that shield and it wont cost me an arm and a leg to fix. I'm going to get it checked out tomorrow morning after my class though

its your brakes warning you to change them. thats how brakes are made, when they are going out the squeek and when you step on the brake they wont make any noise. i know a lot of people are going to say im wrong, but change your brakes and your problem will be solved. good luck!

this may sound stupid, but a while back on my car mine started making this horrible screeching sound and when I looked at the dust shield on the back of the rotor there was this LITTLE pebble stuck between the shield and the rotor. Once I took it out the noise was gone. Hope this helped!
