Does anybody know a black box in the 95 Ex's trunk? (it locates right under the 3rd brake light) I think it could be the stock amplifier. Hit me up

 

is it very small ike 3 inches by 4 inches? i have a little black box that covers up the handle that you pull to drop the rear seats down.

 

its 6x9" in & 1.5" thick

 

Uhhh.. I have a '95 EX and I don't have a "black box" in my trunk...

I am interested in finding out what it is and why I don't have one

 

is there 1 or two? your rear speaker is 6x9", maybe its related? any wires plugged into it or not?

 

The box locates in the midddle of two rear speakers. There's like a blue remote wire/antena connected to the box. im 50% sure thats its a stock amp.

 

could it possibly be the antenna? i kno on my friends 96 lx accord, his antenna is in the glass. not sure what it is tho. good luck.

 

hmm my 94 EX did not have a stock amp. I know first Gen CL's did come w/ stock amps, and i do believe its somewhere in the trunk. Maybe the previous owner had it installed? or are you the only owner of hte car?

 

My antenna is in the back glass. I dont have the box though. The only black box I have the seat release. Do you have a CD Changer from an aftermarket company? Could be the signal box to run it off of a OEM deck (seems kinda big for that though)..

This is confusing? Inquiring minds want to know.

 

I just bought 2 wks ago for $6k. Mine antenna is on rear glass too, but I think the wire is hooked up to this box. This car is completely stock..no aftermarket stereo etc. I'll take pix when I got the chance. Hit me up

 

May be an aftermarket CD changer.

well...it's probably not an amp...i'm thinkin it might be some sorta cell phone thing. NEC is a company that makes computers, monitors, and such, not sure about things like phones, but you never know. just my guess.

lol watch.. it could be a tracking device of some sort.. like an anit theft device that was installed.
