No black box on D16a6? Is this true ?
Ok, I have been doing my turbo install this weekend, and finished up installing the black box. I wasn't sure if I needed the check valves along with the black box, so I did a search and found out that I do not if i am using the black box. I also ran across a post that stated that the black box can not be used on pre '92 cars. I have an 88 crx d16a6. The install went fine as far as corrosponding wiring ect.... so I figured that all was well, but now I don't know if this is going to work or not, and if I need to remove the check valves or the black box.
Thanks in advance to any helpful input !

No, I am talking about the black box. The older Greddy Kits came with a black box unlike the newer kits that came with the blue box.
The black box was an electronic choke for the MAP sensor, it's sort of like a missing link/check valves, only it doesn't **** up. It's meant for FMU based setups. You can run it on most any EFI Honda.
The later blue box is for OBD1-until stuff, it recalibrates things for larger injectors.

That is all.
