I've used D16's in B18C's before by champhor cutting the edges of the bearing. I think there is a width difference between the b16 and the d16 bearing

there is a 1mm difference. the b16 is wider then the d16 bearings. What do you mean by champhor cutting??

Basically it is cutting the edge of the bearing that would rub against the radius of the crank journal. Kind of an angle cut to make up for the 1mm width difference
