I got a check engine light on today after i install the motor mount inserts..It idle real low,and the speedometer(MPH) it doesnt work..please help me out..thanks

 

What code(s) is it throwing?? Maybe you disconnected something while installing the inserts.

Short the blue jumper. Oh wait!! You have a 95 with a 98 motor, so you might not have that jumper. Check though.. Under the right side of the dash

 

Did you knock your VSS connector loose on top of the transmission?

 

i see two blue connector one goes into a green socket..where the vss connector that is on top of the tranny?plmk..thanks

 

Yes, it sitts right on top of your tranny...but the idle problem...?? try to run the codes.

It should be a small blue connector with 2 wires. Get a paper clip an jump it. Turn the ignition on, but dont start the car, then read the blinking lights.
post your codes and we can tell ya...

 

how do i jump it

 

Stick one end of the paper clip on one hole of the connector. and the other end of the paper clip on the other hole of the connector. Turn the ignition on, and read the blinking check engine light. Long blinks and short blinks

 

After youre done counting the lights go here to check the codes http://www.c-speedracing.com/faq/05.html

Each long one counts as 10 and the short ones as they come. Example: blink-pause-blink-pause-blink-pauseblink-blink-blink-long pause, is code 33.
