Tranny swap: '93 DX to '97 EX. Will it fit?

Hey guys, I got a friend with a 1997 EX Coupe with his tranny going out. Since I'm doing a engine swap I was going to just give him mine which is coming from my old D15B7 engine. Mine works perfectly fine.
So, are the D15 and D16 trannies compatiable? Like will they match up? Or is this a lost cause altogether? Thanks for any insight. .

D series. they are compatible.
