Default Fmax turbo kit. T3/T4 hybrid

Hello all,

I was wondering if anyone out there has an accord with the f22b1 engine that has an fmax turbo kit installed on it? I want to know if I have my turbo hooked up right. The problem I am having with it is at 4000 the turbo kicks in hard. when I am at idle my turbo gauge doesn't show any boost what so ever. My blow off vavle doesen't go off a whole lot when I rev the engine up not in gear. Is it supposed to do that or am I having other issues going on? Thanks

when your at idle you don't have boost, like you said it kicks in at 4k, that's when the turbo is spooled.

not sure why your bov is isn't loud, some are designed for beeing loud and it can also have something to do with your intake.

when it kicks in at 4k is when I am moving in the car. When I am just sitting there with gear in neutral and ebrakes on and rev engine up I don't get any kind of boost and my blow off valve isn't even opening. it is like the turbo isn't building up pressure as i step on the gas in neutral. when i am in gear like 1st gear i can definately feel it but it hits hard at 4k. It doesn't gradually build the pressure

it needs a load in order to boost. didn't your mechanic tell you this?

I'm surprised you actually got it working. Considering its actually installed & functional. Even though you think its not working! When other people are having problems. hahaha!!!

Your fine man...

your BOV may not function properly if you dont have the vacuum lines hooked up in the right spot ... recheck your vacuum lines ..i have the fmax kit on my F23A1 and my turbo starts spooolin at 3 grand as long as you have the pedal to the floor... it will probably build up most of its load at 5 grand ... mine builds the most at 4 grand because we have VTEC engaged at 4 grand now.. also it is possible to boost in neutral .. when we were tunin my car we did a few dry revs to test the mf-2 rpm lights out and it was buildin 5-6 lbs of boost.
