try and get the hamster on a wheel turbo kit, **** works fine for me. getting about 35hp per pound. no tubing and turbo manifold required.
-- just slap that hampster on a wheel in your intake and you ajust the pounds by increasing pedal pressure.

turbo.
Well another option is going to a construction site. and stealing a caterpillar turbo. i think they are t4 flanged 108 q trim. spool ultimate like a raging dragon. and if your running diesel forget about it. its curtians son. case closed.

Bwhaha...
Yeah... anything your looking for can be bought from a retailer... the only "quick spooling" stock turbo you will find will be as small as a mouse fart:
Here is an example of a K03 which would spool at damned near idle on a civic:
you can find the turbo you desire in a junkyard, but you have to travel 3 miles past pluto to the asteroid floating out there, there is a perfectly good GT35 chillin in a supera up there

Re: name that turbo (92civicx)
You're thinking either of a T3 60trim (thunderbird), a Holset HY35 (some diesel trucks), or a GM8 or something (GM diesel trucks). They are all fast spooling 300whp-capible turbos. You'd be lucky to get 250whp from a '.42/.48' with moderately high boost.

Re: (my9thtry)
I think what this guy wants is the turbo off the 1984 - 1987 V6 Nissan 300Z. That engine was the VG20ET. That is a Garret T3 turbo with a .63A/R turbine housing. That turbine housing you cannot use with a standard 5 bolt exhaust flange as it's a Nissan and they like to be different.
Get a Standard .63 A/R turbine housing off the SAAB or the Volvos as it has the Stage 1 Turbine wheel which spools quick but with the .63 it will be useful from low to high RPM range.
The compressor wheel is bigger much bigger then the Saab/Volvo ones as it measures 54mm. All I know is that that Turbine wheel is 2 mm smaller then my old T04B compresser wheel.
Few years back I was lucky to get one for $60 bux from the JY, took me forever to get it out but it was worth every scar. That turbo was in perfect condition and it looked like it was just rebuilt and the guy blew the motor.
Good luck.

crx it seems like you know what your talking about man and what you explained sounds right. If i can find both those turbo's for cheap i'll probably try that.
exactly what i'm looking for. If i can't find any information on any other junkyard turbo's that spool quick and don't fall on its *** at high rpm's for a b16 i'm gonna have to do this. thnx
