Need help B18C JDM Type R in 00 Si

Hi my name is David and i have a 2000 Civic Si with a JDM B18C Engine+Tranny. Only thing missing that i actually have is my JDM type R ECU. Thing is im still running on the Si ECU becuase i have the Si Harness. I need help in figuring out what i should do. Alot of people told me to get a USDM type R ECU and it should plug right up with my Si Wiring harness. Other people said i should have a harness custom made to fit the JDM type R ECU. Some advice would be appreciated. thanks.

what year is your swap? my jdm b18c-r ecu is obd1 with obd2 connectors. so it fit in my 97 gsr perfectly. so, your shouldn't need anything to get the r ecu to fit.

97 wire harness is different from 99-00.

You can buy a conversion harness(OBD2b to obd2a)....which I would recommend, or modify your stock harness. That will be a pain in the ***.
