Ok I need a little help, I'm tryin to get a 98 and up jdm b18c type r motor and I was wondering will the jdm ecu plug up with my 99-00 si harness or do I need to get a jumper harness? If so which harness do I go with. Any advice will be greatful

not sure about the ek cars but my eg has a jumper harness obd2 to obd1. i'm thinking you might be alright considering your obd2 to start with, but don't quote me on that because the hondata s300 doesn't work with the jdm ecu from the type r. if you need a harness there not expensive and it's all plug n play...
i still wanna say your fine if it's a si harness tho....

Why would you have an obd2 to obd1 jumper harness on an obd1 car?? The Eg's are already an obd1..??
Anyways to the OP.. if you get a type r ecu from a 99 or 00 model type r it will plug in..
96-98 -- obd2a
99-00 -- obd2b
if you get a 98 model ecu then all you'll have to do is get the obd2b to obd2a jumper harness and as MY_DC2_EG said it is just a plug and play harness.. you can pick them up for at the most of $50 i've seen them for way less though.

Remember your gonna have to get another set of B-series 32mm drivaxles unless you do the 5 lug conversion for the 36mm axle nut..
Totally assuming your buying a complete swap online...

if i'm wrong sorry but i think i'm right, its obd1 on the ecu side your right but the ecu itself is obd2. so there for you need to convert the harness to work... you convert old car harness to work with the new engine setup
here is what i have in my car..

98-99 integras were still obd2a, it didnt switch over to obd2b until 00-01. unless in japan it switched over to obd2b in 99.
my suggestion would be to just switch over to obd1 with a chipped p28. it would be less hassle for you in the future if you ever feel like you would be doing any major upgrades. since tuning with obd1 is way easier and less of a hassle on the tuner.

For the most part Japan didn't switch to OBD2B at all. The PCT CTR ECU is, and one other ECU I can't think of right now, but other than that Japan stayed OBD2A. Also, if you use an OBD2B USDM ECU it has an immobilizer that needs to be removed, you must also move the fuel pump relay wire from pin A16 to A15 at the ECU when using an OBD2B Integra ECU.

Then you did the obd1 to obd2 conversion on your car, if you put the obd2 ecu in ur car.
