ok i have tried to look up this question but a lot of people just go around it. what is the difference between the two block? do they have different sensors? do you have to change your ecu if you put a b18b in a non 0bd car? and will a cable tranny bolt to a b18b block? could you help me out!!

I have a 97 B20B in my 90 integra. I used the non-obd harness and ecu. Also all B series trannys mount up to any b series block except for b20a but make sure you have the right clutch disk with the right tranny.

blocks the same...its a b-series. the head, intake manifold and a few other things are different. i don't think obd0 and obd1 will be that much of a problem. the b18b started in 92, the b18a was from (in the US) 90-91.

Just to clarify, all 90-93 non vtec integras came with the b18a1. 92-93 did NOT come with the b18b.

are you sure about that? 92 was when the motor had 140hp and was carried over into the g3...which had a slight bump in power about 5 years later.

i have been under the impression for many years that the 92 teg was equipped with a b18b...and integras that were non-vtec were so equipped from then on... if you can prove me wrong, i will stand corrected.
