Default Hessitation and power loss when shifting at lower RPMS in a 1999 Civic EX

My car hesitates when shifting and has seem to have lost some pep in acceloration in lower RPM revs. My plugs are bosch plantium plus fours and are about a year old with about 20k on them. Everything else is pretty much stock. As far as the engine goes. It has about 65k miles on it. It hesitates and takes longer to get up to the higher RPM it surges slightly when shifting. Like the engine can't take the load. Any suggestions on how to regain or even increase the power with after market mods would be apperciated.
Thanks,
-Bob

When you say Hesitation....do you mean bogging?

I have seen and heard of problems using bosch platinum plugs in honda motors (working at a honda dealer) in most cases the techs tell me they switch them out to stock factory ngk's and that seems to fix the car to run better or in some cases just to start. Hopefully that is your problem. If not when was the last time the car has been tuned up, auto or manual tranny?

Check cap/rotor, and also the color of your spark plugs. Could be the spark plugs, but has to be a number of things in order to do that.

Do you have any codes?

Yeah, me too. I've used 'em in a few cars including my '95 GS-R for quite a while. They've worked really good for me.

The Saab boards are full of people who say they they suck under heavy boost. My former '89 Saab wasn't turbo & they worked fine there, too.

From what I understand the bosch platinums dont get hot enough and the spark gap is not adjustable, like factory plugs .032 recommended or so
