from 10psi to 8psi with JRSC, is it possible
I brought my car to the tunner to install my hondata and 440 injectors...When I gave it to him it had 10psi since I have a CRV crank pulley....
He gave the car back to me and told me i only have 8PSI of boost?
I cant check if this is true since he made the hondata shut down my motor if I hit 4psi....until we go to the dyno on tuesday....
Is this possible that after installing hondata my car now only has 8psi??? the only thing he changed was he relocated the map sensor......
whats going on?

Yeah it happened to my friend. He had a 95 GSR w/ the JRSC and 8psi pulley, then bought the Endyn 10-11psi (whatever it is) pulley and it only boosted like 8. Sakai said the belt was slipping. Switched to a gatorback belt and helped out for the most part. Still does it some. He is switching to another pulley. I can't remember what the name is but it's a local guy who makes them. PM Jackson4Door.
Usually when you make less than max boost, its the SC belt tension. The alternator belt being loose will make you lose PSI at upper RPMs. I would definitely check your sc belt tension as a preliminary idea.
Was he seeing 8PSI on the boost guage or through Hondata? It could be possible that your boost guage always showed ~9-10 and in reality you were more around 8-9.
The slippage the other guy is referring to is due to the Endyns shitty design. The MVM pulley your buddy is getting it replaced with is from Jim @ Motorvations Motorsports in AL.

so there no way it could be becuase of the vacum lines, or map sensor or anything like that??
I know on my old turbo I had boost leak!
but ca you have the same thing with a supercharger or not?

that's prolly your belts doing that bro. Mine boosted up to 12 psi and now it only goes up to about 10 and I know it's the belts cause it makes a shreaking sounds when trying to spin faster. check those belts out.
well i have my Bypass valve hooked up to the fuel pressure regulator/boost gauge, with a Tee.... I know ur suppose to put it to the throttle body..
bur my throttle body only read vacum not boost!!!
AHHH this is frustrating!!

I have a CRV crank on my car and it ran 10psi at WOT. Your belt may be slipping but as soon as i added a test pipe to my car for some odd reason i lost 2 psi and so i am only running 8 psi. When i went to the dyno i didnt have the test pipe installed my first 3 runs then i installed it on and gained 12 more whp with less boost so more boost is not always best from my experience or observations. Maybe he got things to flow a little more freely with the hondata and as a result less boost more power.
tighten the belt dude..... i almsot garuntee thats it........ cause when u boost more.. more pressure is on the belt and causes it to slip.......... solution........ tighten the **** out of that belt.

it may restict power ull porduce.. that has nothign to do wiht how much boost ull make.......... boost for a jackson supercharger is all dependent on the pulleys and belts nothing else........ if ur losing boost .. ur belt is slipping plain and simple.......
or ur losing compression in your block,..... but i highly doubt thats the porblem

At one point I was running 11PSI due to a completely clogged stock cat. Its not good for power, trust me.
I would be willing to bet your car is faster reading 8 than 10. What cat were you running before?

well i know that is not true because i thought the same thing when i put my test pipe in as i mentioned in my previous post. even if you were to READ!!! the JRSC instructions it tells you in the last page that a more free flowing exaust and intake you will see less boost but have more power. so his belt may be slipping but not the case here i dont think if he installed a test pipe.
so do I install a DYNOMAX 2.5 exhaust that is not straight thew??? its the one that a little baffeled... and leave the cat resonator off?
or leave it now with straigh threw brulen 2 1/4 no cat or test pipe??

Well a more free flowing exaust is best you need the air to get out just as fast as it came in. I would say use the straight threw exaust and have nothing but a muffler as long as you dont throw the CEL and have someone to help you out passing inspection if provience checks emmisions you should be alright i have a DC sports 4-1 type r header with a 2.5 collector Greddy Evo with no resonator and a testpipe same thing as being staight threw.
