Default B18b1 in 96 cx

i swapped a 2000 ls set-up in my hatch.. i ran the stock d-series wires with the swap, but my ls ecu wont run right.. i talked to a couple people about this and they said use the ls wires or obd2 harness.. i checked it out, but it doesn't plug in on the drivers side.. does anybody know what i need to do? anybody familiar with this swap??

Well I would have suggested using the 96-97 EX 5sp harness.
But they only thing I can think of off the top of my head is that 98-00 are obd2.5 and the 96 is a odb2. see is that would cause any conflict

use a 96-98 LS ecu or buy an obd2---obd2.5 wire harness.

i am doing the same swap myself... except im getting a 97 LS motor, and putting it in my 97 DX, i was told to use the EX harness and somehow find a OBD-1 ecu for the motor, get a jumper harness and all that fun stuff instead of dealing with the IACV sensor fix. Also just curious since u swapped it yourself, what mount's and bracket's did u have to use?

y would he need the ex harness if he's running the ls? also like was mentioned i would chk to make sure u have the right ecu obd2 (96-98) and obd2 enhanced (99-00) are different.

the ex harness is just easier to work with, u do not have to do any kinda of wiring or pinouts, and u don't have to worry about the IACV fix... cuz on the d16y7 it is a 3 plug, on the b-series it is a 2 plug.... so i believe the EX has 2 plug...
