Default axleback exhausts

i was thinking of just getting the apexi N1 axleback and going to a local muffler shop and have them install it with some new piping... anyone think this is a good idea or should i just get the full cat?... also anyone know what size piping in the N1 axleback?... thanx

2.5 I believe. Either way works, whatever is cheaper. The N1 system is very straight with minimal bends, but you scrape alot with it because of that. See how much they will charge you for piping, then do whichever is cheaper.

Usually when a muffler shop does custom piping, they build it without a resonator. Watch out for that, for sure. Unless you like high-pitched bumblebee sounds.

friend had his done on a 02' EX and they charged him $90 for new piping and cut off i think the resinator... but this wasn't a N1 it was more of a generic brand

i got the n1 apex on my gsr straight pipe no resonator,at first it was very loud specially when the v tec kicked in ,now im used to it.

I like resonators. I would have them put one in for you if you go that route. And for 90 bucks, that sounds like quite the deal. I would definatly do that over the whole catback N1.

N1 is not 2'5 piping, it's 2'3/8, or 60mm.
