OBD1 GSR in 00 EK
Where can I find specific info for wiring this swap? (ie wich wire to leave alone and wich to add, wich plug to cut and replace wire color etc...)
I have a harness adapter for OBD1 ecu,
a 00dx automatic harness and OBD1GSR engine side harness.
can I use the auto harness? or do I need a new one?
the car is manual tranny but original harness is missing due to engine fire...
Please don't reply saying to search, I'm racing in a week and need all the time I have to complete the car. Would be great if someone with similar swap could guide me through emails.

Well, you probably should'nt have committed to the race, because you need more parts from the dealer. like 99-00 Si rear and drivers engine mounts. Might be cutting it close if you have to order that **** yet and get other misc. parts, hoses, belts, bitch pin for the linkage....
I just put a 95 GSR motor in a 98 EK. We did the wiring with the motor out of the car, which was much easier. I think you may find it a little difficult to do in the car. Either way, I'll try and list everything that had to be changed, it is possible that I may miss a few things though.
First, you need to use the DX harness, the GSR harness will not work in your car. If you are going to keep the car OBD1, you need to change the injector plugs, as well as lengthen the wires a few inches each in order to reach. The backup light indicator needs to be lengthened a few inches to reach. The alternator plug needs to be changed. You need to change the Idle air control valve plug, the auto harness will have a 3 prong plus, the GSR IACV takes a 2 prong. You need to wire up a knock sensor (you can use the wire from the crank angle sensor for this, since there isn't one on the OBD1 GSR). You also need to add wires for the vtec solenoid valve and the vtec pressure switch.
This is all I can remember off the top of my head. I think I worte down what else was changed, I'll have to check around for it in the shop. Also, I was working with a manual harness, so I'm not too sure how different the two are.
Also, make sure you have the shop manual for the EK and the GSR, this is almost impossible to do without.
Email me if you have any further questions, and I'll try to help.
