Default Alternatives to drilling holes to mount amps, etc?

Has anyone used anything else to mount amps, etc to the car?
I would rather not drill or screw into my floor and I was wondering if I could use small magnets with rubber pads or something.
Any ideas?

Drilling into the seat backs is not as bad. No chance of leaks.

I've seen people mention using Velcro.. or you could look at some velcro like stuff made by 3m, which is said to hold better, but it is pretty expensive..

Haha, ampcro

My 300/4 under my seat is still not mounted

But that amp is going nowhere. I have to pull of the seat to make adjustments. It is wedged in there.

Are you asking me? I really don't think I even need a cap. I'm only running about 360 watts with that amp. But I think it makes the music sound cleaner. It's a 1 Farad. It's way bigger than I need but it's what my shop had on the shelf and it wasn't that much more expensive.

They say 1 Farad per 1000 watts is good.

I just drill holes: more difficult to steal, stays mounted nice and firm and it's not like 4 tiny holes are going to ruin anything.

it looked real cean cause there was no screws u can see.

yeah. Ampcro is a joke

Has anyone tried that stuff that is like velcro but has plastic interlocking mushrooms(jomo would love this stuff). From memory I think velcro will hold 15 pounds per square inch. The mushroom stuff would hold almost 40.

I used this white thick plastic velcro type stuff, like you are describing at my old shop. ( you couldnt compress the bristles with your fingers, they were really stiff) that ***** was nasa grade. I used it on a pathfind or 4runner to stick an old PPI amp to the bed-box-wall behind one of the wheel weels ( under the plastic trim panels) screwing through the outside of the bed wasn't really an option.
I used that stuff, two strips on the ends, maybe a couple inches long, and another strip along the top side. worked pretty good. the only trick is too make sure both surfaces are CLEAN before you start, so the velcro sticks nice.

"jomo would love this stuff" Lmfao.

I've used it. It's great. Right now I use it to keep my fuse holder mounted to the battery. It has an operating temperature to 200 degrees F. Held the fuse to the battery fine for a year and a half in my old car.

is one side velcro other side sticky tape? if it's tape...you tape that to the back seat and other side of tape to the amp and velcro them together? my seats are slanted so the amp would hang upside down...well at least at a 60 degree angle....would the tape hold? if the velcro would hold...what about the sticky side? stick on carpet doesn't work too well i'd think...
