I just installed a ctr intake cam and everything is doing good until about a week after when the car suddenly bogs and dies out. We thougth it was the distributor but it turned out that it was the cams. For some reason when it hits around 3000rpm or maybe more, it forces the belt to skip. Any i deas why its doing this?

 

all i can think of is loose timing belt which could cause the belt to skip. maybe the timing is off when you installed the cams.
