Default anyone using a MOTEC?

anyone using a M4 system? asking cause i'm leaning on getting that since my nonobd teg makes it hard to find an engine management.

i use their exhaust it sounds sweet. not to try to change your mind or anything but you might want to check out ZDYNE my buddy uses it on his teg and it runs perfectly to an 11.9 with full interior and the stock ls motor.

i was thinking about Zdyne but 2people told me negative things about it so that's why i wasn't really all for it. don't know anyone using it with actual feedback on it.

You can't go wrong with motec... Motec one of best systems out there on the market.

You have other, less expensive options, since you have to wire up the whole car for a engine management system.

motec m4 isn't plug and play, you will have to wire the motor up. Since you have motec system you shouldn't cheap out on the wires, you should get raycam (sp?)

Other options are speed pro aka FAST, Autronic, DFI, AEM race edition.

Motec has a honda kit now. It's an m4, all the sensors you need, a modified distributor, and a honda harness. A very nice harness i might add! It goes for around $2350 for everything. I think that's the way to go!

Depending on your setup, the Motec unit may be over-kill. Why not just convert it to OBD1 and run a Hondata?

i have heard great things about zdyne (used to post on g2ic quite a bit).
you can also run hondata with the obd-0 set up, look on their site.

The M4 does come with a 3 bar map sensor, as well as air temp, and barometric pressure sensor...

Yes, the lambda sensor is a wide band o2, but it doesn't come with the motec kit. The lambda option is an additional $700 or so and then the sensor is $350. You don't need the lambda option unless you plan to datalog lambda. As long as your tuner has a wide band then the m4 kit is all you need.

motec is awesome, but if you don't have any experience with engine management, or you aren't incredibly electronic/computer savy, it's best left to people who are. that's not to say don't get one, it only means you need to find a place that's capable of tuning motec, but be prepared to pay a premium when you do.
