I think he's refering to the new products in Summit racing, I have no idea as far as anywhere else that sells them. "dramatic HP gains"....negative on that one, unless you're running a very nasty heat generating turbo. It could possibly improve power in an intake system if the underhood temps are really high, but eh, all in all it's basically a waste of money unless you need to squeeze every single last oz. out of your car...and even that oz would probably be sucked up by the weight of the bottle

its in the newest honda tuning mag in the stylincompacts.com ad. Its like intake with a bottle of liquid co2 and you spray it like nitrous and it shoots super cold air in, they claim 35% cooler air. SOunds like a cheap alternative to nitrous but it dont say how much it is and i havent heard anything about it in actual use.

I don't know about that one. It does seem to be a cheap alternative to nitrous. But I don't think you'll see the kind of numbers you want to. I personally wouldn't buy it. But it would be best to talk to someone who has used it and has some actual feedback on it.

my friend used take those little CO2 catridges they have for bb guns and ****, connect a valve and a hose and run it to front of his intake. it's a nice little boost of power, nothing spectacular. You dont shoot it into the intake, you shoot at towards it to cool down the intake charge. if the bottle is expensive just go for the homemade recipe.

That kti doesn't inject it, it freezes a "bullet" inside the intake...............

I am going to CALL BS on that one. If your Friend is INJECTING CO2 into/toward the intake Charge it is NOT BOOSTING anything. What's inside the Engine? Fire? Well doesn't CO2 put out fires? Hmmm

Co2 displaces O2 which an engine needs to make more power. If you are shooting CO2 in to your Intake you are KILLING the Flame.

The CRYO2 injects the CO2 into a SEALED tear drop shaped container that SETS inside the Intake stream. The Bulb gets Cooler and the Air passing over it cools as well.

Uhh.. he said not into but towards, more than likely meaning outside of the intake.

So what is KEEPING the CO2 out of the Intake Charge?

i think he is saying that he shot it onto the intake pipe a little ways back from the filter

I don't think even that way would give a Noticable Boost.

" connect a valve and a hose and run it to front of his intake"

If you Shot the Intake Piping the Piping would have to Cool first. Cool enough so that it can cool the Air passing through the tube.

Still BS if you ask me. Reason being is that The Cold Spot on the Intake pipe would be so localized that it would not (even if it could) effect the majority of air pasing through the tube.
EVEN IF IE COULD: The amount of Co2 in tht Cartridge would run out LONG before the Pipe itself would even cool down. MUCH LESS to say the Pipe Cools down enough so that it can cool the AIR passing over the LOCALIZED spot at a certain velocity.

The CRYO2 system places the BULB INSIDE the Tube and it cools the air passing over it. and More Air comes in contact with that bulb than the amount of air passing over one localized spot on an intake tube

I think that kit would be good to modify for a intercooler kit but thats it. for f/i it could be useful but n/a I dont see it setting the market on fire.

Otherwise I think is neat but useless... I would expect very minimal gains at best and it is NOTHING compared to injecting nitrous.

Nothing compared to No2 BUT Maybe better than a CAI at least More consistant. I don't think anyone would be looking for NO2 shot results but better than the CAI.

This remind me of a Practice that my friends at the Machine shop that used to run Drgsters... He said they would build a Box arounf the Filter element and place Chunks of CO2 (Dry Ice) to give a little extra Kick. Something called Ice Packing Not exactly rocket science but effective non the less.

exactly, there is more cost effective solutions.

alot of people will ice their intake manifold before the run too these days.
