Default Turbo tuners question

Since im new to this whole FI stuff, I have a question about turbo tuning and outside temp. If i get my turbo tuned in the summer in say 90 deg weather. Is there more chance of detonation when the seasons change or the weather gets really cold like 20 deg or something?

Would i need to get it tuned every season?

I searched but couldn't find anything, as i said im new to this so try not to flame to badly.

getting it tuned when it is the hottest is probably the best. Detonation usually comes into play at high temperatures. when it gets colder, motor will run slightly better.

Yes that is correct, however, the more dense the air is, the more lean the car will run.

thats something i plan to do.. i recall new rsx has 5 maps based on temperature.. i don't think its needed to re-tune that many times.. right now i have a chip for summer.. and will make one during winter..

not that its absolutely necessary.. but doesn't hurt..

If you tune it in the summer with a reasonable margin of safety you should have a wonderful holiday season...or something.
