Default HID for del sol. Which ones?

what decent kits are available for the del sol?
that both have high and low beams. or once having the hid low beam are high beams neccisary? i was thinking about getting the phillips 4100k kit. also whats the difference between the ds2 and dsr bumbs. and are casper adapters neccisary? seeing how the del sol already ahs a shield inside theheadlight

I don't know much about del sol head lights, but I can only assume they are pretty much the same as my hatch head lights. I got a HID kit from an Acura TL with ds2 bulbs included. The difference between d2s and dsr is d2s is for halogen headlights and dsr is for projectors. The adapter will only be necessary if you get a HID kit that does not fit H4 housings. Also, I'm not sure about the "sheild" that your headlight already has, but you will blind the **** out of oncoming drivers without the adapter. You won't need both high and low if you get a GOOD HID kit. I don't every need my brights, but I'm still looking into getting some projectors because i think it would still be nice to have high beams too.

wrong d2s bulbs are for projectors housings, d2r are for reflector housings....a d2r bulb is a d2s bulb with a "shielding strip (metal)" running the length of the bulb

Damn it.. I always get those 2 confused.. haha.

I'm not familiar with del sol headlights, so I don't know what "sheild" you are talking about. The adapter/sheild is super easy to install. You can install your HIDs without them and put the adapter on later if thats what you want to do.

i heard that HID light pattern sucks with stock housing unless you get one of these clear headlight covers. But they dont make one for del sol.

I know Hella has a kit that uses high/low beam settings. I think there's one other company that has that too, but I can't remember the name

these replace old headlight. On EG's or sol's, stock headlight covers are not clear unlike EK's. So you replace with these. here's my headlight,

http://www.autolamps-online.com has philips hylow kit for 610.00 i think (for the 6000k ultinons bulbs) the are the only seller of philips kits thats listed (on philips corporation's website) as an authorized distributor of philips products...search for more info , BTW after MUCH research this is the Hi-low kit I have decided to purchase, pm me if you care to know why BTW it would be wise to stick with a reputable manufacturer IMO Philips, Orsam, Hella, or Catz (but don't get colored bulbs that simulate a high temp kelvin, they reduce output much more than just raising to a higher kelvin temperature bulb)
