Pin Stripe Questions.
I have searched, and I found multiple ways of going about this, so I don't need help with that. I have 8 year old stock Milano Red paint, and I'm worried that the removal of the pin stripe (and "Civic EX" decal) will leave a hideous dark line down the car due to oxidation and fading over time. Do you think it will? Would it be worth removing? Thanks.
it would look better w/o the pinstripes and the emblems, but are you gonna paint the after you remove it. It will more than likely be noticable when the striping was, same way with the emblems.

No, I will not be painting afterwards.

It'll be noticeable if its been on the car for 8 years, but I do know they make pin stripe removal kits that are supposed to make it as concealed as possible. When I remove pinstriping at work we use this stuff called Servisol, which kinda acts as a liquid rubbing compound that takes the sticky side of the striping off the paint. Couldn't hurt to wax over it after your finished either.
My car was about 4 years old when I took them off. I just took them off in the direct sunlight(the hotter the better) and waxed it a couple of times and you would never known they were there.
i took the striping off my 94 ex and it left nothing behind. i used a striping removal wheel that you stick on the end of a drill and rub it off
then i used some light rubbing compound and after that a nice wash and wax, can't see any lines.
ps if you use a striping removal wheel be sure to use the drill in a low speed and never stay on one spot for too long as you could heat up the paint too much and cause it to bubble.
