Well I am sure if you have the R ecu sitting you can find someone that would either buy it or trade for a OBD1 ecu... I would say reprogram your stock, try getting some money out of the R ecu.

is this good or bad? should i still put the type r ecu or not. My 98 teg is just a beater and to drive ppl around it a 4 door gsr. Just since i have a type r ecu setting around. It came with the motor b18c5 which is sitting around too. since the motor's not going in a car I have the ecu to play with, that's y I can't sell the ecu for a obd1... Just trying to understand if put the ITR ecu is GOOD or BAD...

It will not help you if your car is stock in fact it will hurt performance because like the others have said the P-73 will not open the secondary intake runners. However if you change your intake manifold then it would work. Not that you would see much difference other than a higher redline which is not advisable with a stock valvetrain.
