just wondering, how much to repair/replace syncro
all I can say is dont bring it to AAMCO. they wanted to charge me a couple hundred just to crack open the tranny, and another 1100 to repair my synchros. I just bought a JDM b16 instead
Why not just spend the extra cash, and buy a good JDM ITR tranny? Dual cone synchros are much beefier and all the good stuff about ITR trannies.
I got one for sale too

I don't think I can do my own tranny replacement
and I don't really want to cash out too much
what kind of options do I have? I enjoy the long gearing when I drive on freeways. itr's lsd tranny is way out of my budget. so I am probably stuck with the ls tranny, either replace the old one or get the syncro (I think that's the source of problem) fixed

i did my own set of gears in my car...its really not that hard, you just need an oem manual and remember where all the little pieces go...i actually forgot a piece in mine, but it runs fine, so im just gonna cross my fingers.

i really didnt have any money to get it done, but i needed to do it, but if i had the funds, i would have had a professional do it.
this is my only car, I love doing my work and all and if I fucked it up, it's going to cost me a lot of time and probab;y end up losign alot of money so I am more inclinded to take it to the shop unless I can find someone who has removed their tranny before, locally
