B16a boost Question

Default B16a boost Question

I was just wondering how much boost the B16a hold before internals go out.I'm planning on getting head work done and only runnin 9psi, but aint got enough money for new rods, pistons, etc...................thanx!

9psi should be fine. I know a few people running D16's (yeah... D-series with the crappy rods) with Greddy kits modded to boost 9psi.

d16a6 has a 9.6:1 b16a has 10.2:1, this might make a problem for 9 lbs

With a standalone 12lbs "safely". It depends a lot on tunning. Gotta run premium always tho.
