Default clunk in lf wheel

at the last autocross, i found i had a bit of a clunk and some play in my lf wheel. it looked to be a bad upper balljoint. when i removed the uca, the balljoint was definately worn. so i replaced the whole uca (cause its easier) but i still have some play. the wheelberring is new, so im pritty sure its not that. the tierod is new and the play isnt the tierod type. i did tighten everything, but i will double check. the only thing i can think of is a worn cv joint. any ideas?

well, i got home and took a look with the wheel off. apparently, the uca bolts were loose. thats my fault for not checking them . so i torqued them to spec and put everything back together and everythings lookin (and feelin) good. ill keep an eye on them to see what they do. maybe they require loc-tite?

Loc-tite will help them from coming loose again. Use some loc-tite on the uca bolts then retorque them, that way they will stay together. Retorqure them after you have driven on them for awhile.
