Quick Question for People with Black DIY Headlight Housings.
Just wondering if it effects the projection of the lights and the amount of light that is exposed on the road. Like does it make the lighting worse than before because there is less reflective surface? I want to test this out on a spare set of CRX lights I have and see how it looks and since CRXs have the worst headlighting systems that Honda ever built I dont want to make it project less than it already does.
Thanks

I didnt notice much of a difference on my 96-98 civic headlights. Im sure some projection is lost but not too noticible.
its about others seeing you at night.
if you paint your reflecting chrome black...then all they see is two tiny lights.
great way to get in accident.
if i saw someone with those headlights who caused an accident with me, you betcha i'd sue.

IF you do it right, there is NO difference in light. In order to do it right, you have to cover up the turn signal area and the chrome area around the headlight bulb area. If you mask them off, then NO light is lost.
