im having trouble locating a place that sells brass/stainless barb fittings. ordering online is cheap, but usually they have a minimum to order, and shipping is added on top. would lowes or OSH have things like this? or home depot? thanks.

as long as you just need npt fittings home depot carries a wide selection of barb npt style most npt fittings 1/8npt
We've got this badass pneumatic fitting specialty place called Fluid-Aire here. $3.52 with tax for the fitting to make the GE oil supply work directly with a -3AN line.
They also carry bulkhead fittings, valves, stainless lines with brake line ends they can install for a small fee.
This place rocks, but they really don't LIKE dealing with smaller walk in people. They like big contractor job parts lists.
