temp sensor?
I just got threw a CAI on my DX yesterday. I gotta y8 manifold, and the "temp sensor" (correct me if wrong) goes into the intake tube. While I had my Short ram, I had this sensor inside the tube. So yesterday after the installation, I drilled a hole to in the tube and put the sensor in. Once I started the car to make sure everything was kool. I gotta check engine. The car runs normal, but I dont want this check engine light on.
Question:
1. I've heard if you damage that sensor you need to find a new one at the junk yard because you can't just buy a new one?
2. Do you think it could be something else?
3. WIll it effect the cars performance?
Thanks in advanced.

im curious about this too. My IAT got ruined by fire and my computer is throwing a CEL for it, wonder if its whats causing my car to idle poorly, and some other odd quirks its been having. Any ideas on this anyone?
I just fixed it. I just disconnected my neg terminal on my battery and the light went off.
I feel like an *** now
I was told that if you blow that sensor your car will run shitty and throw codes. I
was told your car will run real rich. I dont know why my idle was better w/ it off though. It seemed to kick down faster with it off.
Someone has to know the answer to this one.
