Default Which in-car camera mount is better?

I will be building a simple in-car camera mount over the weekend, in time for a few track days over the summer. I don't yet have a rollbar, so this is going be based a similar setup as seen here:

http://hybrid2.honda-perf.org/....html

However, I am concerned that this could result in bouncy videos, and therefore also considering this setup:

http://www.ae92gts.com/ae92gts_video_mount.html

Has anyone done this sort of thing, and while the 2nd setup seems like it would be more stable, I've heard the first one is just as good. But I don't want to re-do this after trying it, so I am asking around, hoping to do it right the first time.

Second setup looks like the used Trey Sullivans dewsign to the T.

It is very stable.

That does look like a nice setup. And simpler than the first one. I'll go with that one.

I'm not sure how the double seat setup is simpler than the first one, but I will add, that some track events will not allow the 2 seats to be connected.

Personally, I run the first "single-seat" setup with no problems. **trick=drill a larger hole from top to bottom on the end hanging out from the seat & then hook a strap from it to the opposing backseat hook. That tension helps to eliminate any vibration you would expect to have from the weight hanging out there flapping.

My cheap sony cam has no problems with this & when you get a short instructor who needs the seat up, they can put it where they are comfortable

unless you have a cage, go with the C-pillar bar. A b-pillar bar is a better picture imho, but it will keep your seats from being able to crush backwards in a crash.

B-pillar ususally has less wind noise on a video too.

Or you can use one of these suction ones from http://www.filmtools.com

Here's an example on the car. I borrowed this pix from someone but I actually have the same suction camera holder.

Here's a link of my videos with it.

The suction thing is quite nifty.

How well does this suction mount work with the tint film on the back window? Will it rip it?

Nah... It's Thunderhill Raceway in reverse. I wish it was Laguna Seca.

About the tint... my car is tinted all around when I use the suction camera holder and the tint film held up. There wasn't any bubbles or anything on the film itself. The suction holder held up pretty good and you can actually see how it held up on the track on those videos i posted.

It costs $70 bux btw.

Why would some track events not allow this setup? Is it because of some danger issue? The first setup seems more dangerous to me, the aluminum tube could possibly go straight into the driver's neck in the event of an incident.

I said easy because you don't have to tie a 2nd piece to the first one, just some u-bolts to hold the headrests. It just seems cleaner, IMO.
