What would cause the CEL not to illuminate? wiring gurus see inside...
It wont come on anymore, when all the idiot lights come on for a sec when you turn the key, the CEL would stay on for like 1 sec then turn off. It wont anymore. Would something that has gone bad in the dizzy cause this? Ever since I changed my Crank angle wires my rex wont start. Even after I changed em back.

try a differnet ecu. just for ***** and giggles i tryed to start my car with no ecu and it cranks but doesnt turn over. also when i put the key to II the CEL doesnt come on and no fuel pump working.

Did you read what you typed before you hit Post?
It is impossible for a car to crank without turning over. Period.
A starter CRANKS the engine. The engine TURNS OVER then the bottom end is moving. Same damn thing.
There is a wire that runs from the ECU to the CEL light on the dash. Mine doesn't work either, and I already checked the bulb. I think it's wire B6 on the ECU. Let me check the helms...
Yeah, looks like a green/org wire in the b6 socket is the culprit for the circuit for the CEL.

I'm going to pretend that made sense now
The starter turns the engine when the engine's off. You can't have the engine fire and turn itself when it's off
Otherwise you wouldn't need a starter.
The starter's on an independent circuit from the ECU, which is why you can crank it with no ECU.
The CEL will come on when the fuel pump is priming. If the fuel pump's not priming, I would worry about why the ECU isn't triggering the fuel pump, not about the little bulb in the gauge cluster

If it turns over is unrelated, as I stated above
But if it's getting fuel that's something different...
To replace the bulb just remove the dash's cover from the cluster, then twist out the old bulb and pop a new one in. It's a very easy job.
