b18b into my 89 Si - wiring info?
I have a 94 b18b, and I have everything to convert it to non-OBD, but theres a few questions i have about the Si harness. Everything seemed fairly self explanitory. For the map sensor, however, I lengthened the three prong plug on the firewall to plug into the sensor on the top of the throttle body. seemed pretty good to me. but now theres just going to be a female plug sitting on the firewall. is that alright, or do i replace that whole thingamajig with the one from the b18? also, i have nowhere for a fast idle or engine coolant switch (+ and -). do i just tape them off? thanks.

You will just move your stock map wires to the map on the TB....nothing more or less. The fast idle can be left off. You will need a coolant switch. I believe on the OBD1 motor it is in the thermo housing. Just extend the wires there.

blownhatch....but if he is converting to obd 0, wouldnt he just have the map on the fire wall connected instead of the one on top of the throttle body since obd 0 cars dont have that map on the top of the throttle body??
I have done it both ways. If you do not use the Map on the TB, you will have to plug it....but there are no screws or anything....so that is why I used it.

Better readings.....uh. I agree on the reliability vs. trying to plug that hole...but I havent noticed any better readings vs. the two.
