what are these sensors?!?!? please help!!!
i am replacing the b18a in my 92 integra with a b18b.
the b18a has one extra sensor on the back of the block (green one in the picture) that the b18b doesnt.
can someone please identify all three sensors for me and possibly what i need to do about the green one, since the 98 b18b block doesnt have it.
any input is appreciated.

The brown one is the fan switch.
The green one is the coolant temp sensor. You will need to run that plug on the harness up to the head under the dizzy on the B18B. There will be a sensor that looks just like the brown one but will be black. That is where the coolant temp sensor is on the B18Bs.
And I don't know what the white one is.

the green one isnt needed dont hook it up to anything just lt the plug hang. the one on the thrmo stat is the fan switch yo have to change the plug from the 2 prong plu thats close to the green plug and extend the wires there. the white plug is for the coolant temp sensor for the ecu(wires should be there)

Makes more sense that the white plug is the coolant temp sensor since it indicates temp of the coolant in the head.
I was told that the green one was the coolant temp sensor for the ecu. Since it is not, what is it for?

im getting so many mixed answers, some say its a coolant fan switch and others say its for oil pressure. i guess i will just have to take my chances, and see how the motor runs with out that sensor.

take the sensor out of the b18a1 block and you will see its in a oil drain, so theres no pressure other than gravity

He's right. Just checked on a B18A1 block I had. It is right in an oil drain passage from the head.
Take it out and route a hose from there to a catch can.

The White one is the Temp Sensor for the ECU. It would be located more towards the front (radiator) on a D-Series motor. BTW, the little single wire sensor next to this white sensor is the Sending unit for your Coolant Temperature Gauge.
The Brown is your Fan Switch.
The Green is harder for me to make out. On D-Series there are two things next to the Oil Filter. One is the Oil Pressure Switch (single wire plug) and the other is the Fan Switch (two single wire plugs) They relocated the latter to the thermostat housing after 1991; as seen in your picture [brown plug]
I speak mostly of D-series because that's all I know. Most applies to all though.

ahhh so is that why older Hondas (93 and older Accords, Legends, older Integras) will sometimes have the radiator fans running after the engine is switched off, because of the oil temp?

i think they do that because there wired differantly, like fan relay powered before the key..... my old 87 crx used to do that
