Default Tranny Fluid fill bolt is stripped...help...

I had someone do some tranny work on my car recently, and got it back and went to change the tranny fluid and noticed that thje hex bolt meant to be the fill spot for the tranny has been stripped. To the best of my knowledge, there is no other place you can fill the tranny, so what do I do???

Yes... there are other spots. Anywhere on the tranny casing can be used as a fill hole.

you can't get it out at all? head or threads stripped? if it's the head of the bolt use visegrips and get it off and replace it.

I didnt read the thread but I know what happend. I had the same prob and heres my solution. Look on top of the tranny sorta close to the dizzy but not really. look for a black plug with 2 wires going into it. Its your reverse light sensor.. unscrew it and fill in your 2.5 qts there. This is how I have to do mine everytime.

what they all said here is that you have 3 options

1) stop whining and get some vise grips (a mech's best friend)
2) fill at the speed sensor
3) fill at the drain plug, it works as long as you're quick with gettting the bolt threaded.
