I put on my OBX catback a few weeks ago, and the tone sounds really good. Unfortunately, even with the silencer in, it is still too loud for me, attracts too much attention. I like the extra few horses it gave me, and i love the deep tone of it, but is there any way i can quiet it some more without sacrificing hp? any ideas are welcome. thanks in advance

 

You could try something like a cherry bomb somewhere between the cat. and the muffler. That should quiet it down.

 

i dont think that will quiet it down much. aren't those supposed to make it louder? i had one once and it sucked. thats why i got the full cat back. i also dont want to start cutting up my nice piping. any other ideas? can i get another silencer to put on it or anything like that?

 

Well, if you just bought it, maybe you can return it for a different exh? I don't know about you, but I don't care what other people think how loud my exh. is. I run a open header. Its VERY loud, but I have yet to be pulled over, warned ect. Keep your revs low, and it shouldnt be that loud.

well im not trying attract a lot of attention to myself, mainly cops attention. lol, keep my revs low? then wheres all the power going to come from? stupid 1.6L
