Default h22 turbo or b18b turbo

Hey guys, sorry if this is a repost... I was lookin into getting a b18b for my 92 cx hatch, then later going with a turbo.... but i started to think about the h22.. its compression isnt that high...makes more power for about 300 bucks more... but takes a lot more to get it in w/ axles/ mounts/ upgraded cooling ... so i guess do you guys think its worth it to do an h22 over the b18b?

the h22 from what I have heard does not like turbo in stock form, which means more money. The b18b's are relatively cheap and for the cost of putting an h22 into a EG you could do quite a bit wiht the b18b. The b18b can hold around 8 psi in stock form for quite a while. I would say b18b, but it does depend on how much money you have.

b18b all the way.

getting the turbo parts, manifold most especially, would be easier and you'll have tons more room to work with in the engine bay.

h22 would rip asses BUT its just a Pain In The *** for the initial install.

B18 for sure. Although H22 would be faster.

I was in the same situation as you were i went with the 22. Like the domestic guys say " No replacement for displacment". Also putting in a h is the same as a b series. People who have done it know. Cooling: get a dual core radiator from Autozone or something. Also once you boost you will do what ever it takes to go faster. Such as building the block ie. pistons rods etc. go with the h22a. the cost about 2600 for everything to swap in including Hasport mounts, intermediate shaft ,and axles. The swap just takes more time. Hmotorsonline.com is the place to get a cheap *** deal. Remember in 99 the blue coupe with h22a turbo daily driver hitting 10.7?
