Default Headgasket and Headstuds install questions...

Just wondering if anyone knew a site that had instructions on how to install a headgasket and headstuds on a b series? The headgasket is an inline pro 3mm and ARP studs. Also do i need to spray the gasket with cooper spray? And what should i torque teh studs too? ive heard many different things and im a bit confused...thanks

Instructions for the studs should be with them, however if you used them for a napkin then

Screw them in finger tight

Yes, use copper spray with like 2 coats 30 secs apart letting the spray get tacky.

Slap head on
Put moly lube on the upper threads
Torque to spec

Spec was 65 lbs on my B18B most torque to 70 ft lbs for giggles as did I

If you use regular motor oil torque them to 80-85 ft lbs, use the moly lube though its what the studs are designed with

If you ever need to double check something important for sure like this, call ARP they will tell you torque specs, install etc.

Believe it or not there is some wrong info on here

If I'm not mistaken the arp's should be 10 lbs less then factory specs. The arp are not supposed to stretch like the honda factory head bolts. I would also call arp, just for the right specifications.
