I need a hell of an ALL motor setup!
anyone got any ideas...I want a very fast all motor car and i have about 5k to spend! please help me with which parts and brand are best to buy! thanks you
This is a very broad topic, but here is a start.
To make good power, you're gonna need some revs, so you'll need cams and springs/retainers. Good ones such as Toda spec B's/C's, Jun Type III (lots of tuning $$$ Beware!!). cams and valvtrain alone will be around $1500+/-. Then you should raise your compression to complement that, so lets say you get ITR pistons, that's another $300-$500 +/-. Then Dyno Tuning, I'd say at least $300 worth to start. That alone would give you good 13's if tuned right. You'll also need tan ECU to get you your revs, so if you are OBDI, that's only like $250 for chipping, other wise $250 for OBDDII->OBDI conversion and abour $300 for OBDI gsr ecu, and another $150 +/- for chipping. This is assuming you do all the labor. There are a lot of people with similar setups running good times.
From there, you could splurge and get a good header (Toda, Hytech, etc, etc) for about $1200. I didn't even bother to mention the I/E combo, that's assumed.
that's just a start, HTH, -C
