Default Questions about an ALL MOTOR/JUN Setup...

Ok guys, I know you all hate these kinda questions, but I really need your help. This summer I am going to have $3200 for my car from a lawsuit... I would really like to put it all into my engine.. I would like Jun 3s, but don't know what else to get... What are your guys suggestions..

As of right now I have a JDM 4-1 Header, AEM CAI, and Apex'1 N1.

I believe the head package includes Type 3 cams, valve springs, retainers, cam gears.

Like mentioned earlier dont forget to save money for the tuning. You can buy all the parts but if they are not tuned, your not gonna make power. I remember back when everyone was calling JUN "JUNK" and nobody wanted those cams.

he only has 3200.00 and the jun kit is like 3600.00 . which he needs 400.00 for that and 200.00 for tuning

Dyno tuning should be around $180/hr with a tuner. $100/hr if you decide to tune it yourself.

A competent tuner should be able to tune it in an hour if he doesnt run into any problems.

900 - cams
400 - valvespring retainers
1000 - Portflow P&P
550 - 12.1-13.0 compression pistons
310 - eagle rods

no labor cost and tuning cost though.
i'd say buy all the parts now, then slowly get them installed.

u'll need bigger injectors and a VAFC or hondata.

I have a brand new set of JUN3 cams for $800.00 if you want them.

I need cash, so I'm losing money on them.

BTW, screw the JUN package. Get the cams, Portflow springs and retainers, and higher compression pistons.

on a side note, i talked to a competent tuner today thats testing the JUN type 3s vs SKUNKs stage 2 vs SKUNK stage 3. skunk stage 2 makes about the same HP with exact same settings in exact same motor as JUN 3s, but it makin it at 8900. now who wants to rev their motor that high to get power???? revs kill.
