Hondata systems for DRAG turbo kits

I spoke to Doug at Hondata today about having units tailored to DRAG turbo kits for Integras and Preludes. We should begin testing somtime this Summer, once we find test vehicles. Would anyone be interested in tailor made Hondata units?

I would be interested. So will they just be like stage 2 w/ boost, preprogrammed for certain engines? This could save people a lot of dyno time.

not familiar with Hondata, how would it help? especially low psi like 7.

well.. i am interested too.... i was one of the first few prelude owners that Doug talked to about setting a prototype. unforunately, 6 months has passed since then ( had my engine rebuilt )

I have a DRAG kit on my 98 Type R. You can use mine as a test vehicle if I get a free system!!

I was just talking with a friend if you all would try this. I'll be in the market for a turbo system in year and I'd definitely be interested. I hope it works out.

Any chance you guys will put together a piece-meal kit which uses the DRAG III components (less the fueling) + the HONDATA. That would be a nice combination....

The system will be specifically tailored for the drag kits and the turbo that is supplied with them. It will be extensively dyno tuned using a stock Prelude and GSR engines up to about 8 Lb.

It is expected the 8lb (or so) kit will ship with:
440 injectors
OBD I GSR or similar computer (for Preludes and OBD II cars)
Adaptor cable for OBD II cars
Hondata stage 2 or 3 premapped for the Drag turbo.

Custom tuning and tuning for higher levels of boost will be able to be done by any Hondata tuner with stage 4.
