Default problems with DRAG turbo kits?

just got a DRAG turbo kit put on my B18C1 engine. I'm running 450cc injectors and a APEX safc. the car is hard to start sometimes. my friend told me to get hondata tuning done. any stories and experiences you want to share?

me and a friend of mine just put mine in over the weekend and i'm running the fmu and vafc till my hondata comes in next week
i haven't had any problems yet
i'm still running stock injectors till i get the hondata in then i get to put my 880cc's on......that will be fun trying to trim them down
boost comes on nice and strong and is smooth too
cops dont like open downpipe though..i need to get my exhaust welded up

This things screams guys.(I am the freind who did it )

I was thoughroughly impressed by the vaccum to boost transfer and the yank up top is nice.

I just didnt like having to shave the damn block!!! what a pain in the ***.!

now just to tune the hondata on 880's

are you guys using the resistor box like your 'supposed' to? That's what i've heard anyway... it could cause problems if you don't use it.

I have no problems starting..
I'm using dsm 450cc injectors and the uberchip
I used radio shack resistors..

however, the drag kit is a pain in the ***, and I won't recommend it to anyone..
definitely not a "bolt-on" kit..

That must be either a Hondata thing or improper tuning because I have never had this problem...the car idles and starts like stock.

I think its more from old dirty injectors. Get them things cleaned and inspected before you run them.

hrmm mine bolted on quite nicely, the only thing i changed was the oil return line, which was cheap, and had to weld flanges to the downpipe. to me i dont think it could have gone easier

Umm, no, that's not the way turbo's go. That's the way it goes when you cut corners....
