Default zc distributor code 9 problem Knowledgeable help needed

I have an 89 crx si with a zc engine installed. I just installed a new distributor that checks out to spec. i checked the cyp resistance across the distributor and came up with 400 ohms, within spec. my problem is that when i check for that resistance across the ecu harness pins number c1 and c2 i am coming up with 1000 ohms, which is the resistance to the crank angle sensor. I tried switching these wires so that i had the 400 ohm resistance across pins c1 and c2 and the car wouldn't even start. I appreciate any help or advice given.

i am not sure how you went about everything, but i had the same code and it was because i had the white wires switched around. check those out. and all of your dist wiring.

thats my thought

turbo sol, im pretty sure i got those wires right, i checked them a few times the other day. Was your car idling very poorly when you had those wires crossed?

anyone else with suggestions?

its not in the distributor...its the exhaust cam angle sensor...its the wires that you had to extend from the distributor wiring clip...
