Default problem with code 4(searched) help please

A couple of days ago, right before i had to go to college, i got a code 4 (crank position sensor) turned it off, then on again, then, I drove 3 hours and the car was fine... and for acouple more days it was fine... now it's givin me **** again....
help me please...
whats the trouble shooting procedure/do i need a whole new distributer?

The short answer is... First you check the circuits for broken/loose/corroded wires. Including the wires inside the distributor. Then you buy a distributor, since nobody sells that sensor separately. (still true???)

The details about checking the circuit usually depends on what year, & I don't own either a 91CRX or a B18A1.
