Default B18C6

What is the stock bore size of this block? I'm planning on building internals. What details do I need to specify for the Rods, Pistons and head studs to make sure that I order the right ones? Bore size, compression etc...

TIA

It's gonna be 81 mm just like any other b series block with the natual exception of the b20, 84 mm. However, it is my suggestion that you bore the block, service limit is .25 over, do that, most all pistons are available in .25 overbore and that will give you a slight increase in boresize (very very slight) and will ensure that you have a proper sleeve all the way down, given that you take the block to a worthy machine shop.

Expect to pay between $150-$200 for good machine work, cleaning, bore, hone.

That is my suggestion.

Pretty cool however that you are getting a c6, where are you getting it from?

B18C6 is the European engine code. Where do you live?

I'm in UK hence C6 and not C5. I don't plan on resleeving it, just rods and pistons. So would it be best to use the oem headgasket and just drop in lower compression pistons like 9.1?

all b-series pistons except for the b20 are interchangeable....just pick the compression you want and plug away...otherwise get some forged aftermakets...all 81.0mm will work..81.5 (like mine) gives to you a slightly bit more torque but you'll need to bore it out a bit

why bothering with stroker kit? The bore/stroke ratio of the B18C is not that good anyway and with stroker kit it gets even bader. Best bore/stroke ratio would be 81x81 or 85x85 or something. The B16 is perfect. I would go with 85 or even 87mm sleeves and stock stroke. 87x87 bore/stroke ratio owns! and you can rev as high as stock and more. With stroker kit revs more than 9000 sucks and you need more revs if you want run aggressive cams and make power.

Stroker kits are much overpriced too, sleeves and high compression pistons for n/a is best way, same for turbo......but bore/stroke ratio is not so important on boosted cars than on n/a cars.
